Affiliate Marketing Tips and TutorialsWhy Should I Learn to be an Affiliate Marketer ?By: Wray BurgessThere are far too many reasons why you should endeavor to become an Affiliate Marketer. I could not begin to run them all down here. If you will give me a moment of your time, I'll relate to you about someone who has chosen to become an affiliate marketer. I am that person. Perhaps it will make more sense to you that way. I know you have heard the buzz about becoming an affiliate. You have more than likely had your email box stuffed with offers from everyone and their sister about just how rich you can become. Admit it, on more than one occasion, you have actually read the stuff and wondered, "what's this really all about?". Now let me confess something to you...I have done all of these things, too! So how am I any different? I AM NOT. You and I are exactly the same...we are no different whatsoever! As I started off saying, about there being too many reasons to become an affiliate marketer...it is true. However, a little knowledge of the concept will save you lots of frustration Affiliate programs differ from MLMs, randomizers, and PTR/PTC (paid-to-read, paid-to-click) programs. The primary characteristic of a program which is worthwhile is that it is free of charge to the affiliate. These programs offer the affiliate a percentage from each sale for which they are responsible. MLMs are, typically, based upon an individual building a downline of others whose sales and marketing efforts bolster their own. The most significant difference is that these types of programs are generally reliant upon the person committing to buying or receiving the company's product or service on a monthly basis themselves. PTR/PTC programs are the same. The value of affiliate program to the affiliate program provider is that it affords them much greater exposure for their product or service without additional cost. READ: You only get paid when you make a sale. The value of the affiliate program comes in the form of free advertising material. Capture pages, newsletters, auto-responders, banners and all the copy you could want is usually provided. If an individual can generate low cost or free traffic to their affiliate links, they can potentially generate a profit with minimal effort or an investment of time.
I DO believe that almost anyone with the genuine desire to generate additional income should have the opportunity to do so. Any program should be scrutinized by the prospective affiliate prior to their involvement. A sound 'rule of thumb' should always be; "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is not a worthwhile endeavor". About the AuthorWray Burgess is the owner /operator of i site design.
